- MAISON CERONNE
Maison Ceronne is a small hotel in Perche, Normandy, with minimalist elegance. Designed and managed since 2019 by the duo Vincent and Clément, it is a dream destination for city dwellers keen on design and nature. Parisians in need of greenery, Vincent the interior designer and Clément the entrepreneur have renovated an old farmhouse in the heart of Perche, 150 km west of Paris. Originally intended to become their country home, they eventually moved there and transformed the estate into a contemporary country hotel in 2019. La Maison To date, three buildings spread over a two-hectare park house twelve rooms, common areas, two heated swimming pools, indoor and outdoor, multiple additional facilities (sauna, hammam, outdoor Nordic bath, gym, cinema room, karaoke , dance machine, etc.), a restaurant and, more recently, a stable. And in a short time, the opening of Maison Ceronne 2, currently under study, will bring the estate to 90 hectares. The concept has been carefully studied to delight guests who love comfort and modernism: the raw, concrete architecture, the large open fireplace, all the furniture designed by Vincent or signed (DS210 De Sede sofa, Tanis desk by Pierre Paulin, Pierre Guariche, Haussmann lighting etc.), the black and white palette occasionally enhanced with colored tones, and the centerpiece of the project, the outdoor swimming pool clad in black marble which stands out from the green parterre, signature of the ultra graphic aesthetic of the house. The omnipresent nature and aesthetics invite continuous contemplation and relaxation. " All of the pieces that make up Maison Ceronne surprise with their unusual and even singular character. Waking up in one of the rooms of the house, with the birds singing, the sound of the wind in the ancient trees, this is the promise of this unusual journey into nature." La Table Maison Ceronne is also a table open to guests on weekends and every day during the summer period, but which can also be reserved for dinner without being a resident. The menu concocted by Clément is simple and mainly composed of products from local farms and producers which vary depending on the day. We have breakfast there and enjoy seasonal dishes in front of the large indoor fireplace or on the terrace, depending on the weather and the seasons. - DESIGN: NOUVEAU STANDARD
Nouveau Standard is a brand new publisher of furniture and accessories for the home. The first collection, 1976 Souvenirs Rustiques, offers a reinterpretation of the country interiors of our grandparents in four emblematic pieces. A rigorous but delicate aesthetic, full of character and nostalgia. Jonathan Fleurance and Simon Brandeau, from the Nantes architectural firm Atelier Standard, are launching their very first furniture line. Their creation and design studio, Nouveau Standard, brings outdated rustic interiors up to date, and reinterprets their iconic massive furniture. This first collection with an evocative name, 1976 Souvenirs Rustiques, is based around four pieces characteristic of country dining rooms of the 70s; a table and chairs, a fireside chair and a lamp, made by regional cabinetmaking, tapestry and lava enamelling workshops. The uniqueness of the project lies in the combination of a heavy traditional dark wood frame, and subtle details such as the enameled seat, the Nobilis and Pierre Frey fabrics, or the small balls, which twist the line. Nouveau Standard is already asserting its style with this first collection, and offers great prospects for the designer duo. " Our first collection questions the intimate connection, that of memories. Each of the pieces seems to come from a frozen era which is full of more or less distant thoughts and magnifies in their own way the interiors of our grandparents..." nouveaustandard I @nouveau.standard picture crédits © paulin giret
- PRISCA LLAGOSTERA WELLNESS ROUTINE
Prisca LLagostera divides her time between the mountains of Andorra where she founded L'Ovella Negra eco lodge, and South Africa where she opened Kokos Huis, a charming house and guest table located on a farm. Between wide open spaces and nature, the young entrepreneur reveals all her beauty and well-being secrets to us. INTERVIEW 1 - Hi Prisca, can you quickly introduce yourself? " My name is Prisca! I am half English half Andorran (a tiny country between Spain and France). I grew up in the Pyrenees mountains and then went to boarding school in Switzerland, and university in London. I spent many years traveling to Chile, working as a ski instructor and combining it with event work around the world, until I came back to Andorra and opened up my own Mountain Lodge at the end of my favorite valley. A few years into it, while traveling to South Africa, I fell in love with my winemaker husband, Jurgen! After many travels to SA, I decided to open up my own little spot there, Kokos Huis. I now spend my time between South Africa and Andorra." 2 - What are your cult beauty products, the basics? " I am obsessed with Rowse beauty products, my latest discovery! I also love the Soho Skin products." 3 - What are your morning and evening skincare routines? " I am actually a complete mess when it comes to taking care of myself! But I do love using the Rowse make-up remover, followed by Effaclar cleansing gel and then a nice cream. I love washing my face with cold water in the morning! Completely wakes me up and makes me feel fresh! " 4 - Do you have a beauty secret? A homemade recipe? " My wellness secret is to be surrounded by beauty! That is what keeps me sane and healthy! Breathtaking landscapes (which between Andorra and South Africa I am so lucky!), interiors that flow in harmony and that create pleasure to my eye and beautiful people!" 5 - Did you borrow a product or ritual from your mother or grandmother? " Rose water! My grandma has always sworn by it!" 6 - What is your latest wellness discovery that you love? " My favorite discovery of all times has been yoga... I wish I could do more of it, but it really makes me feel good about myself... I feel invigorated, strong, lean and mentally balanced. It is everything to me! Walks in the mountains as well. I can’t get enough of them. And of course skiing on a beautiful day. And natural wine! That has been a COMPLETE discovery... how well it makes me feel. And that is thanks to my husband! There is no going back now! " 7- What are your favorite beauty addresses? " Yogalife in Cap Town! Dr. Serena Cardoso is also in Cape Town. She treats individuals as a whole by harmonizing their body, mind and soul. And my hairdresser Adrian Ryan from Toro in Andorra. These 3 take so much care of me! " 8 - Where do you like to recharge/recover yourself? " In the mountains of Andorra and the beaches of South Africa. My other favorite place is my family beach house in Vilafortuny where I was practically born. And Mexico... I am obsessed with Mexico and Miami actually as well! So many places! I have some great friends in Miami who always take so much care of me. I love the latino vibe there, and the Caribbean beaches!" 9 - Where do you like to go in France or you would like to visit? " In 2016 I spent a summer in Marseille working for the Eurocup and absolutely loved it and its surroundings... I also love La Provence... My mum has always been obsessed with it so she has transmitted that to me. Biarritz as well, I love the wilderness of the Atlantic! - BOBO CHOSES : A FOLK SONG
Bobo Choses pays homage to folk traditions in its spring-summer 24 collection. A Folk Song draws its inspiration from village festivals where children and adults mingle with musicians, storytellers, dancers and imaginary creatures to celebrate popular culture. As usual, the Spanish brand presents a colorful collection printed with cheerful graphic patterns. The loose, comfortable pieces and accessories come together to create playful outfits, faithful to the carnival spirit of the collection. We really like the red Catalan espadrilles and their printed ribbon, the madras and gingham patterns and the patchworks of the denim pieces. Bobo Choses also publishes a small 18-page book with vintage-inspired graphics and paper which invites its readers to immerse themselves in the magic of village folk festivals in a very colorful atmosphere.
