Belgian designer Anne-Sophie Rosseel has launched a fun, multi-functional and scalable children's furniture brand. House of RoRo stands out for its clean and elegant line which draws its inspiration from the mid-century modernism.
House of Roro's first collection - Interlockables - consists of a range of basic furniture necessary for children's learning: a desk, a pedestal, a bookcase, tables, chairs and a stool. The set is made of birch plywood from FSC and TSCA forests and available in non-toxic natural varnish, or colored in a very pretty palette of colors obtained from vegetable dyes: white, duck yellow, dolphin pink, tomato red , ocean green or indigo blue.
For environmental concerns, production is carried out in small batches and locally near New York where the designer has set up her studio. Furniture is designed to ship flat, to reduce both packaging and carbon footprint. Also, scrap wood is transformed into small pull toys or puzzles.
